“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7 – New International Version)

Certainly I do not want to be at my current stage and state in life.  I just had a stupid car accident recently.  I say I were stupid because the car accident was caused simply by a driver who kept honking me.  Usually I stay calm when I come across this sort of thing.  For whatever reason, I got frustrated at that moment.  I kept looking at the driver who honked me and didn’t pay attention to my own driving.  I hit the car in front of me and the car in front of me hit another car.  The result of the accident is that my car is a total loss. I’m sure God is teaching me a lesson here.  Besides this stupid car accident, I’m going through other struggles in life.  If I’ve a second chance, I would not allow myself to get into this stupid car accident, I would do whatever I can to restore any broken relationships, I would do other things that would prevent me from getting into this present state in life.  However, God is reminding me one thing.  I should not look back and should not be still and wait for the day that everything will turn around.  Indeed, I should embrace the life and place in which God has placed me and stay focus on living my present life.

How has you attitude affected your level of contentment in the place you are right now? What can you do to embrace the life and place in which God has placed you?
