Juan 1:6-9
6 Dios envió a un hombre llamado Juan el Bautista, 7 para que contara acerca de la luz, a fin de que todos creyeran por su testimonio. 8 Juan no era la luz; era sólo un testigo para hablar de la luz. 9 Aquel que es la luz verdadera, quien da luz a todos, venía al mundo.
John 1:6-9
6 God sent a man, John the Baptist, 7 to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. 8 John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. 9 The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
Así como Dios escogió a Juan el Bautista como su sirviente para dar testimonio sobre la necesidad del arrepentimiento del pecado y la venida de Jesús; también Jesús nos ha llamado a todos nosotros a testificar de su luz. En Mateo 5:14-16, Jesús dijo que nosotros somos “la luz del mundo…para que todos alaben a su Padre celestial.” Obedezcamos entonces a reflejar la luz de Jesús a este mundo, para que todos reconozcan y sigan la verdadera luz que proviene de Jesús.
