15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. 17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. (Colossians 1:15-17 – New Living Translation)
God created everything, seen and unseen, and everything was created through Him and for Him. We are all connected under God’s creation. Regardless of who you are and where your are, God holds us together. Not only we are connected, we share one common purpose – we are created for God. We live for God. When everyone shares a common goal, it brings unity and harmony. Our world becomes so broken because every nations and every individuals are having their own agenda. We desire for national / personal benefits rather than the worldly good. We do not mind sacrificing the well being of others in exchange of the well being of ourselves. When we look at our world, there is a huge imbalance in resources and wealth. The haves are not willing to share with the have nots and the have nots continue to struggle with survival. Unity and harmony can never be achieved if everyone is only calculating their own costs and benefits. We need a common goal, which is God.
